NEWS DIMADURA, SUMENEP – The Sumenep Regency Government continues its efforts to develop the tourism sector through an investment scheme involving private parties. One of the destinations being offered for collaboration is Telaga Kermata in Saronggi District, which holds great potential as an ecotourism and cultural tourism site.
The Head of the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Agency (DPMPTSP) of Sumenep Regency, R. Abd. Rahman Riadi, through Head of Division Herman Hariyanto, emphasized that the development concept for Kermata aims to expand the region’s tourism potential through a mutually beneficial investment model.
“Why? Because it will be much easier to develop what we have through collaboration. This includes Kermata in Saronggi, which we are offering for investment,” Herman explained to the media on Tuesday (25/2/2025).
According to him, the government has drafted a periodic management plan for tourism assets and is offering them through investment cooperation.
“All the assets we are offering belong to the regional government. This means they are available for partnership, but we are selling the investment opportunities, not the assets themselves. We usually prepare this every two years,” he stated.
“The latest plan was prepared in 2024, and, alhamdulillah, we have already distributed it to entrepreneurs and investors across Indonesia at the recent Sumenep Investment Summit. I even brought CDs and books for distribution,” he added.
With the ecotourism and cultural tourism concept in place, the development of Kermata is expected to attract more visitors while positively impacting the local economy. The Sumenep Regency Government is committed to providing equal services to all investors without discrimination.
“The key is that regardless of the type of business or who the entrepreneur is, when they come to Sumenep, we will serve them equally, without any differentiation. We stand by our slogan, Bismillah Melayani,” concluded Herman Hariyanto.***
